When asked to think of the best memory I have, I can’t help but think back to December 23, 2014. That night, my brothers, Joshua and Isaiah Deal, came over to celebrate our last Christmas together for a while. We shared a night filled with laughs, fun, and definite bonding.

Hit by tragedy, our perfect night came to a horrific halt when we received a heartbreaking phone call at 2:00 AM saying that an accident occurred, involving my brothers. A drunk driver ran the red light and hit my brothers’ car head-on.

Isaiah, Josh, and Josh’s girlfriend Shannon, all died that night. Since then, Christmas possess a much stronger meaning throughout the entire family. We no longer mourn for we wish to celebrate their beautiful lives.

I love you, brothers. Gone but not forgotten ❤
