Getting through my junior year has been one of the most difficult things I did in high school. It challenged my patience, time management skills, knowledge, and independence. Next thing I know, there will be several roads hopefully opened for me to choose from. My goal as of right now is to pass the physics AP exam with a four, which requires a lot of dedication. My main goal overall, will be to finish all my required science classes in high school (physics, biology, and chemistry) before college.
My current plan A after I graduate is to move to California. I would love to study at David Geffen School of Medicine and major in human biology. Working in the medical field has been one of my dreams ever since I was a five year old.
Fun fact: my mother found it odd that her little girl liked to watch the television series House for fun.
My plan B requires staying in Texas, which means I will apply to Dell Medical School in the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A & M, Texas Tech, and UTEP. Always keeping your options opened will allow you to adapt to any extreme changes that might occur in your life, be prepared.
Although there will be much to study and stress about, time will go by fast because I will be doing something I love. Americas High School offers great opportunities such as college classes during the summer and it makes a huge difference. I will join a few more clubs if I can next year and sign up for more community service hours.
My English teacher, Mrs. Subia, once said, “Your GPA does not matter to a university if you are worthless to your community”.
