Homework

Friendly reminder: You might actually have homework sitting in your heavy packet right now.

The only thing that should not go through your mind when you get home, laying down on the most comfortable bed/couch.

This is what it will always lead up to:

  1. You will grab your phone
  2. When you grab your phone, you will go through every social media
  3. After every social media, you will go to Netflix
  4. When you go to Netflix, you will binge watch the same old show
  5. Next thing you know, it is about nine o’ clock
  6. You freak out because you forgot you had about five hours worth of homework
  7. Congratulations, you are now failing 4 classes

Of course, you can change that by being more productive when you get home. Instead, begin by eating when you get home to gain some energy. Sit down on a chair with a table, sitting on your bed will make you sleepy. Get through all the classes with the easier work, leave the hardest for last.

Remember that if you cannot get through a question or math problem, you can always ask a friend. Do not get to caught up with each other’s life though, or else you will both get too distracted to work. If you know you will not finish the same day you began, leave some of it for the morning or afternoon as long as it is not due the same day.

Something that earns me time to relax at home, is doing some of it throughout the same day it was assigned. You have nothing to do during class? Pull out the homework assigned from the period before. Practice starts half an hour after school? Grab your laptop and start typing out your essay!
